The first phase of the Heritage Rebuild did not ultimately involve the forward part of the vessel and whilst the forward observation deck received it's woodgrain effect scumbled paintwork, the timeworn interior was not attended to.

 

The Completion Phase of the Heritage Rebuild included a complete replacement of the forward deck shelter, with an aluminium structure replacing thre former steel shell. A new vestibule was built at the top of the new resited forward companionway with a door through to the lounge
