Now owned by the Salzkammergut Bahn GmbH. The company is a subsisiary of the city of Salzburg's energy, transport and telecommunications company, which bought the Wolfgangsee shipping services from the Austrian Railways in 2006.

Prior to the 2008 season, Kaiser Wilhelm I underwent a refurbishment which returned her in appearance to something like her 1908 condition, but a return to steam propulsion was ruled out on cost grounds.
