Graham
Brymner
Graham Brymner was a well-known
dignitary in Greenock involved in the tug industry. His first vessel
was PS Elaine, launched in 1867, at the time he was still manager for
the soon-to-fail Greenock & Helensburgh Steamboat Company. Having
operated the remaining steamers of the Greenock & Helensburgh
until finally sold in 1871, Brymner continued to own his three
personal vessels between Glasgow and Millport and Glasgow and
Rothesay / Kilchattan Bay until disposing of them in 1874 (Elaine and
Lancelot) and 1876
(Guinevere).
